Bio

EO Writes is a budding new author who started her journey way before she came on the scene as a book author. Her writing journey started in 2012 as a homeschool mom writing articles that related to her homeschool journey. For a season, she wrote articles on homeschooling. In 2024, her calling as an Author came into the public’s view once again with her first book release, A Case of Mistaken Identity, the first of many!

Since then, she has gone on to self-publish five other books. Her writing genre is “fantasy & reality.” Her present WIP is a children’s book, Lunas Goes Exploring, which she hopes to have published in April.

Her first experience as a writer was a small, locked diary. As a pre-teen she wrote about everything and nothing. She journaled on and off after that. She then put down her pen for many years, and then in 2020, she picked it back up again. She has been journaling ever since. Also, after decades of not drawing, she picked her pencil back up and, 3 portfolios later and still going strong. In 2020, two worlds came together after years of dormancy.

She now spends her days writing and creating characters. For mediums, her preferred one is watercoloring. Beatrix Potter inspired the ink and watercolor style in Luna Goes Exploring, her WIP. A favorite author from her youth. Miss Potter, a 2007 movie depicting her life, is a favorite! She has been married for 28 years. When she is not writing or illustrating, she and her husband enjoy traveling throughout the United States on their Harley.

Talking Points

  • Never judge a book by its cover. What you find inside the pages might surprise you.
  • Homeschooling is the best form of education. It places you and your child in proximity in a way that no other setting can. “Students are not greater than their teacher. But the student who is fully trained will become like the teacher.” Luke 6:40 (NLT)
  • Using what’s in one’s hands is the most efficient way to proceed. I have always had to be resourceful with what I have. This experience has made me the independent person I am today. “And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.” Exodus 4:2 (KJV) God used what Moses had to accomplish his plan in his life. God already equipped him.
  • Do not allow others to dictate to you where you are to live, do, or be!
  • I do not believe that AI is innovation. I believe it’s leading man away from God’s intended plan.
  • God is a God of change. Anything stagnant doesn’t grow.
  • A creative does not fit a one size fits all approach. They need to be free to express themselves the way God designed them.
  • You got to know where you belong, and where you don’t. Discernment is key!
  • Write that book. If not now, when?
  • Plan today the future you want tomorrow.
  • We each have a story. What you do with the story God has given you is up to you.
  • One’s past does not dictate one’s future.
  • The court of public opinion does not get a vote in God’s plan for one’s life.
  • A disciplined life is a happier, more productive life.
