We start our life’s journey as a child with eyes of wonder, a skip in our step, and a desire to dream. Everyone around us tries to form us into who they feel we are to be and in that it is so easy to lose oneself. God placed a calling in each of us when we were in our mother’s womb. We can not find that calling apart from Him, for we can do nothing apart from Him. We need our Creator to show us who he designed us to be. If we miss that we miss everything. The whole reason for our existence depends on us discovering this truth.
Psalm 139:13-18
13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
There are two mirrors; two perspectives. One will show you the truth, who you were called to be and do. The other will show you a distortion of that truth. This mirror is deformed and only shows you a partial truth. The mirror you look into will depict what you see and who you become. So please examine closely the mirror you are looking in for your very life depends on it. Get to know God he will show you through the mirror of truth (His Word) who you were created to be. Your purpose, the reason you are here! You are a gift to the world but a gift not opened is a gift not received.
